Computer Operator

This is a sequence of five courses, from beginner to IC3
Certification.

COMP OP /1: Foundations: technical instruction and practical experience in basic computer operation and keyboarding.

COMP OP /2: Integrated Applications: technical instruction and practical experience in the integrated applications of several computer programs (Microsoft Office 2007).

COMP OP /3: Database Management: technical instruction and practical experience in database management (Miscrosoft Access 2007).

COMP OP /4: Presentations: technical instruction and practical experience in presentation programs (Microsoft
PowerPoint 2007).

COMP OP /5: IC3 Certification Preparation: provides students with technical instruction and practical experience in fulfilling the requirements of the Internet and Computing Core Certificate (IC³) Program, a global training and certification program for students and employees who want to excel in a digital world. IC³ Certification consists of three core certification exams: Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications, and Living On-Line.

Open Computer Laboratory

Do you need a little extra help with your computer? This is an "open" lab where students are encouraged to practice on their own, but with personal assistance of a computer instructor. Students enrolled in other computer classes do not pay any additional fees. Registration Fee: $20.00, Class Fee: $25.00, Student Body Fee: $2.00

Computer Assisted Learning for ESL Students

This course is specially designed for adult students who are studying English as a Second Language (ESL). With the assistance of an experienced instructor,s tudents are exposed to a variety of comercially available educational software, such as the Rosetta Stone, to enhance and accelerate their learning. No registration or class fee. Student Body Card: $2.00. No documentation is required to join the class.
