HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA / GED PROGRAM
at Fairfax, Hamilton and University High School Campuses
Adults may earn a high school diploma after completing 170 credits and passing the state mandated proficiency exams -- California High School Ext Exam (CAHSEE) effective 2006. Credits previously earned through attendance at any accredited secondary school are accepted. Credits may also be granted for paid work experience and military service. INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION LAB
The I.I. Lab., Math Lab and Reading Lab provide a learning environment where students work on an agreed learning contract for specific courses at their own pace under the supervision of an instructor and teaching assistant in a lab setting. All students must take a placement test before enrolling in class. Concurrent high school student may also enroll with permission of their high school counselor.

PARENT EDUCATION DISTANCE LEARNING
This home study program allos students to earn up to 15 high school electives credits in Parent Education. Students meet weekly with instructor to review progress and collect new materials. Non-credit English as a Second Language and Citizenship courses are also available.

ADULT INDEPENDENT (HOME) STUDY
Adult Independent Study (AIS) is designed to permit greater flexibility for those adult students who are motivated to achieve educational objectives in a self-directed environment. Students interested in the Independent Study Program must pass an assessment test prior to enrollment.
